If there is one thing I have learned the last few months its balance or at least the importance of balance.
I have always been the go go girl, constantly moving, unable to stop for a breather just so I could get stuff done! I very rarely took time for myself. That was so unhealthy!

After having a solid start to my workout programs and then falling off due to work and transitions, I felt like crap. I really did feel the difference. I wasn’t having my shakes, I wasn’t meditating Β or working out. I had completely detached from my wellness.

Well I am done with that! I am so ready and committed to my wellness and getting back on track. I am doing my workouts, I am reading and meditation, I am writing again, and I have ideas for groups also!

Balance, the ability to juggle work, life and wellness all at once; the power to control what you do with your life!

So looking forward to jumping back in the sand box!

21 Day Fix – Day 6&7

Good evening everyone! 

So, not much to post about my weekend. Honestly it was lay in bed, get up and work out, eat and then lay in bed again. 

I am starting my new job tomorrow so I want to be super rested and relaxed. I don’t want to feel crazy busy and stressed. So I did nothing all weekend and it was marvellous! 

I stuck within my container counts, did my workouts and everything but just didn’t do anything else. 

My body is feel much tighter. It feels like it’s changing still which is good. I will keep pushing and progressing in that direction. 

This week is going to be crazy, so a little heads up on the possibly late posts. I’m working doubles from Monday all the way through to Friday and then I have a shift on Saturday. So I will try my best to post timely! 

Rest assured, I will be working out every single day, I will be drinking my shakes for breakfast every single day and I will be tracking my portions as usual! I’m a week in, I’m not slacking now!

21 Day Fix – Day 5

Good morning everyone!

Last night I got some sleep! Yay! I am feel really good actually today. Not only mentally but physically. 

I did my workout last night a burnt a few calories which was cool. I planked and planked longer than I have in a long time too!  

I also did a little mirror scan and I feel like my body is starting to change.  My hips are still wide but they’re starting to slide off a bit, stomach is more flat and not so bludgy, my thighs are smoothing out. So it’s all good! 

I think I’m going to go to the book store today, look at some more good PD books. I also have to do another training module for coaching, some PD and my workout. 

Well bottom line I didn’t get anything done today except for my shake and workout. I did go see a friend though which was nice. Oh well, we have to those days sometimes! 

21 Day Fix – Day 4 (updated)

Welcome back everyone who is checking out the blog! 

So I didn’t sleep again last night… 😐 so not impressed. But I got a few z’s from 4:30-6:30 and then 7:30-9. So I got a little. 

Needless to say I was fine earlier but I’m starting to get tired. Right now I don’t even have the will power to do my workout… it will get done though, I promise! 

This morning I was kind of test driving my body to see how it was feeling hunger wise because I’m going to try the 3 day shakeology cleanse. This is basically a softer version of the 3 Day refresh I did a few weeks ago. Biggest difference is I’m just drinking shakeology and eating fruit and a salad. I have a little more control over injestion in comparison to the refresh. 

So I am going to do it for 2 days first and see how my body responds and then I will do Day 3 if it all goes well. 

My goal here is to break my scale plateau. Now I feel better, I see some changes with my body figure, yet the scale won’t budge. Now I know the scale shouldn’t be a reliable source of results or progress, BUT I would feel a little better if I could see some change there. I’m not burning enough fat and this cleanse should help do that. 

I am looking forward to giving that a try tomorrow. Plus, I have already prepped everything today! Yay me! 

But anyways, I was out and about today with a friend doing some running around. Then I came home to do some training and PD. I do have to work at one of my jobs tonight though. So I will be leaving for that at around 5:30. 

Workout is not happening tonight guys. I’m not perfect, but I am trying. Im so tired! I am going to double up tomorrow! 

Another day down guys, keep on pushing!

P.s- I couldn’t sleep so I DID do my workout guys! Time management and pushing through! Better late than never right?! 

Tonight was Pilates, so there was a whole plank section which I suck at! I can never hold longer than 10 seconds, until tonight!!! Celebrating that I did every single plank move and hold without dropping! Woooot!!!! Progress! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ€—πŸ™ŒπŸ»

21 Day Fix – Day 3

Hello again! 

Oh boy did I not sleep last night! I was so tired and groggy this morning. 

But it’s ok. I got up. I ate my breakfast and I got my task list rolling.  I have 4 things above and beyond showing up for work that are non negotiable on my daily to do list. 

  1. Do workout and drink my shake. 
  2. Do minimum 10 minutes of personal development.
  3. Plan my planner/tasks for next day. 
  4. Post to my socials minimum of 3x a day. 

These 4 things are on top of my day job and seeing friends and family. They help me stay on track with my goals and still be social and outgoing on social media. Then of course I make time for chatting with all of you and doing my coach training. 

So on days where I’m struggling to get out of bed, I do my easiest tasks first, my planner and personal development. My planner time is self explanatory. I plan out everything I need to get done and write my list for the next day. PD can be anything from listening to my coach podcasts, to reading a book or working in an app. There are all sorts of things I love to try out! 

Once I finally get up I start my media posting. This is literally anything and everything I’m doing throughout the day. Then I do my workout. I try my best to do my workout before my shakeo because I use the shakeo as fuel throughout the day. I am of course using the 21 Day Fix Program for my workouts. But if I want I can go to my Netflix of workouts and pick anything from dancing to yoga, weight training or Pilates. It’s really awesome! 

Next is my shakeo. This is one of my favourite parts of my day. This superfoods drink has been such a blessing! It’s full of pre and probiotics, proteins, enzymes and so much more and it has helped me along on my weight loss journey and has stopped my cravings. But one of my most favourite parts is that it contains biotin which means my hair and nails are growing like crazy! Check out my instagram for one of my favourite recipes; Chocolate Almond Spice!! 

Aha well there was a little sneak peak into my day! Once I did my workout I felt a lot better. 

I did consider today a “low intensity” day. I call it that because I did minimal brainwork but was still super productive. I have a brain dump session tonight with a close friend on some upcoming events (which is so darn exciting!) so I like to reserve as much mental energy as possible for these days. I’m looking forward to what this session brings us. 

Now I’m feeling pretty energized and ready to go. Just finished up some lunch which was super yummy. Some chicken fingers, qinoua and veggie curry! 

Tonight was really productive. I had a pretty good brain dump and I’m super excited to work on this project further. 

That’s it for now. Feeling a little tired but hopefully that means I’ll sleep tonight!

21 Day Fix – Day 2


Day 2 and I am feeling good today.

I spent a little bit of time in bed this morning doing some PD (personal development). I was so cozy I couldn’t get up so I used the time wisely I suppose. I finally got up at around 9:30am or 10 and got my butt in gear!

I came home and reorganized my closet a little bit, remember all of those clothes I bought yesterday? Well I had to make room for them. Again, I threw in a load of laundry, put on my “Breakthrough” app for some more PD and got cleaning.

After all of that I fell into a bit of a slump for an hour or two. Scrolled Facebook and Instagram mindlessly. Oh well. It happens. I put the phone down and jumped into my workout. Upper fix finished for the week. I actually really enjoy Upper fix, but I think I have to get a heavier set of weights for some of the “low weighted” exercises.

By this time I was hungry and needed some fuel. So I made one of my favourite Shakeo recipes, a healthy version of an Orange Julius, and grabbed an apple topped with almond butter. It sure was good and satisfying! I find now that I have been drinking the shakes for over a month, my body doesn’t crave the things it used to. I don’t really even get cravings anymore period. It’s actually a nice relief that I will choose an Apple now over chips for example. Healthier choices!

I grabbed “The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy so I am probably going to start that today.

21 Day Fix – Day 1

Hello lovely souls!

Welcome to Day 1 of the 21 Day Fix! I am so happy and excited to share with you everything I possibly can.

Unfortunately due to my lack of sleep the last few days, I got off to a late start today. That means all of my meals were pushed back and such. Honestly it was fine and worked out because I didn’t have much of an appetite.

I was feeling a little in the dumps, I missed 2 days of my Shakeo and boy did I feel it. Lack of energy or motivation. I almost had to drag myself through my workout. But I did it and got it in the books!

By the time I was up and felt motivated to do anything, it was probably 11am. So I got up and had a really small breakfast. Once I had some fuel in me I felt a little bit better. I decided to dedicate some time to my Coaching tasks and spent about two hours on that. I did training and organizing for the most part which felt awesome.Β IMG_0577

Then I decide to do my workout and get that finished for the day. Total body cardio in the books and I felt good after. I finally started to gain some momentum. By that time I was a little peckish so I grabbed a small lunch; hummus and crackers with some tabasco for spice. I hopped in the shower and got dressed. By then my parents were home and I socialized for a bit.

We made dinner which was so delicious! Cashew chicken, veggie curry and some rice. All fitting in my containers of course. Then came the dreadful task of the day… since I recently got a new job that requires more professional dress I had to go buy new clothes… I strongly dislike shopping for clothes..Β IMG_0581

It took my mum and I about two or three hours but we got it done! I would also like to add this was tear free!! What a celebration that was! Five shirts, two pants, two blazers, two pairs of shoes and some jewellery and BAM done! A cry free zone and a crap tone of clothes for work!

I honestly can’t express how proud I was of myself for getting in the changing room, trying clothes on and feeling comfortable. This hasn’t happened in years.

Day 1 done, only 20 more to go!

Today is day 1 of another adventure. Round 2 diving into the 21 Day Fix, the meal plans and recipes. I am so looking forward to what this round can bring.

A little about me..

Hello again,

I want to tell you a little about myself so you can see why I am doing what I am doing. 

When I was younger my parents had me in a lot of extracurricular activities; dance, Ju-Jitsu, soccer, gymnastics. I was really active and I had an extremely muscular physique but I was small. In high school I got a job like everyone else and didn’t have the same time to commit to sports so I stopped. I kept the weight at bay for the most part only gaining a few pounds. Once I got to college, combining the freshman 15 theory and not maintaining the weight at all I gained a ton! I just kept putting on the pounds. I had a really unhealthy relationship with food. 

Over the years I have tried different programs, trainers and nutrition programs but nothing seemed to work. I got my thyroid checked and everything and nothing gave. 

So about a month ago, I was scrolling Facebook and came across an old colleague post about her fitness success. I had to inquire. She told me about BeachBody. I slept on it and thought about it and said screw it im doing it! Money is tight but I’m going to make it work! So I signed up, got my challenge pack and shakeology and waited for my challenge group to start. 

I was so excited when that box showed up! I couldn’t wait to rip it open and explore the possibly of what could come. 

Finally my challenge group started. A group of some amazing woman collaborating and sharing their journeys with each other, a safe place. I couldn’t be more happy. 

Unfortunately, as happy as I was to start, I was going through a little mental moment and transition and I couldn’t give the program my all. But I’m finishing the group to start another one shortly where I know I can commit! 

I’ll post some progress photos of just 21 days on the program. The change is little but it’s a start. I can’t wait to see what round 2 and 3 will do for me!
